Got a story, an idea or expert knowledge to share? We’re always looking for new voices in tech, AI and gaming.
TechMonka publishes news, analysis, reviews and explainers on technology, artificial intelligence and gaming for readers around the world. We welcome pitches from freelance journalists, industry experts, researchers and passionate writers who can tell readers something new.
You don’t need years of bylines to pitch us. What matters is a strong idea, accurate reporting and writing that ordinary readers can follow.
What we’re looking for
News and exclusives. Stories other outlets haven’t covered yet, or a fresh angle on ones they have.
Analysis and explainers. Pieces that help readers understand a complex topic, such as how a new AI model works or what a change in the law means for gamers.
Reviews. Honest, hands-on reviews of games, gadgets, apps and AI tools you have actually used.
Features. Longer stories about the people, companies and communities behind technology and gaming.
Expert opinion. Clearly labelled comment pieces from people with real experience in their field.
What we don’t publish
We do not accept paid guest posts, sponsored articles disguised as editorial, or articles written mainly to place links. We do not sell links, and any links in your article are there to help readers, not to boost another website.
We also don’t publish press releases rewritten as articles, promotional pieces about your own product or employer, content generated by AI without human reporting and fact-checking, or work already published elsewhere.
How to pitch
Please send a short pitch rather than a finished article. Email [pitch@techmonka.com] with “Pitch:” and your headline in the subject line, and include:
Your headline. A working title that sums up the story.
The idea in a few sentences. What the story is, why it matters now and why TechMonka readers will care.
Your sources. Who you plan to speak to, or what data and documents you will use.
About you. A line or two on who you are, any relevant experience, and links to two or three examples of your writing if you have them.
Any conflicts of interest. Tell us if you work for, invest in or have been paid by any company or person involved in the story.
We aim to reply within [2] working days. If you haven’t heard from us by then, feel free to pitch the idea elsewhere.
Our standards
Everything we publish follows our Editorial Policy, whether it is written by our team or a contributor. In short:
Facts are checked. Claims must be backed by reliable sources, and you should be ready to share your notes and sources with our editors.
Work must be original. We check submissions for plagiarism. Quotes must come from real interviews or be clearly credited to where they first appeared.
Use of AI. You may use AI tools for research or transcription, but the reporting and writing must be your own, and you must tell us how you used them.
Editors have the final say. Our editors may edit your article for accuracy, clarity, length and style, and will agree any major changes with you before publication.
Transparency. If a company gave you a product to review or paid for your travel, we will say so in the article.
Style tips
Write for a smart reader who isn’t an expert. Use short paragraphs and plain English, explain any technical terms, and get to the point in the first paragraph.
Payment and rights
We are not able to pay contributors at the moment. Every published article carries your byline, a short author bio and a link to your professional profile.
You keep the copyright to your work. By submitting, you give TechMonka the right to publish it on our website and social media channels.
